Gina is a proud Upland High School Alumnas, Gina spear-headed the winning tradition of
UHS while she played from 1993 -1995. Some of her accomplishments include: 1st Team All CIF 1995, All Inland Valley Player of Year 1995, Most Valuable Player Baseline League 1995, Daily Bulletin Player of The Week Oct. 26, 1995, 1st Team All League 1994, and All Inland Empire Team 1994 & 1995.
Coach Gina then went on to play one year at the University of La Verne then transferred to Cal Poly Pomona for her last 3 years of eligibility. Gina played the OH/RS position and earned Second Team All-CCAA Conference in 1999.
Gina also had the opportunity to be a "Volleyball Extra" for the movie "All You've Got," produced by MTV. When asked about her experience she says, "Was the movie cheesy?? Absolutely. But isn't every volleyball movie cheesy? It was so much fun, the food was bomb and it was the easiest money I've ever made! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!" |
